In memory of Major Akshay Girish, 30, of the Indian Army who died in combat on 29th of November 2016 when terrorists attacked his unit in Nagrota Cantonment, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Among his many acts professionalism and bravery, he led his unit’s Quick Reaction Team in saving the lives of 16 hostages.
Akshay is survived by his wife Sangeeta, daughter Naina, parents Meghna and Girish and sister Neha.
